Welcome to the Wings Miniature Aircraft Society!

The WINGS Miniature Aircraft Society is a non-profit radio controlled model aircraft club based in Lubbock, Texas. Our organization is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, District VIII.  The WINGS society consists of modelers focused on the enjoyment and excitement of R/C modeling.  Member interests include sport, scale and pattern flying, from electric park flyers all the way up to the elite turbine-powered jets and fully aerobatic giant scale miniature aircraft.  We strive to have fun in all we do and welcome new candidates for membership always.  Come be a part of model aviation today!

WINGS News

The time is upon us to begin planning this year's events.  The event's committee, chaired by Les Morrow, has scheduled two events, the T-38 Jet Rally and the inaugural WINGS War Bird Invitational.  Be sure to check out the events page for all the details.  We typically have a mid-summer WINGS pic-nic and fun fly, but have not scheduled a day to conduct it.  The events committee would be willing to hear from you in regards to the date.

The committee slots have all been filled and I wish to offer my thanks and gratitude for all that have volunteered their service.

Monthly meeting attendance has remained disappointingly low.

Please make an effort to come out and get all the latest news about your society.  There is a lot happening!

Don't forget to e-mail some pictures of your newest and greatest modeling efforts.  We would love to see and share!

Still Smiling!

Bryan McLarty, President
